Dressing well here is more of a personal choice than it is a necessity. But those who know realize the importance of presence, both in mind and appearance. Thinking through issues, from beginning to end (and in that order), makes a big difference whether you are positioning for a coup or running for office. While some say you should never judge a book by it’s cover, often times it can save you a lot of time.
So if knowledge is power, then it would make sense to invest in a strong, well-appointed wardrobe. Not too flashy as to draw attention, but not drab and easily forgotten, either.
